This study is based on the viewpoint that science teaching, even today, is so fragmented and decontextualized with the predominance of traditional methods such as lectures and textbooks which in turn favor an abstract approach of the contents, decreasing the students{\textquoteright} motivation and interest for science. The research is qualitative, involving 20 teachers of science and biology, 10 from Brazil and 10 from Argentina, who responded to a semi-structured interview. The results show that the interviewed teachers, both in Brazil and Argentina, understand the need to rethink and change the current structure of science education in the intention of renewing curriculum structure, pedagogical practice and encourage the training of teachers towards meeting the training needs of the contemporary world.}, keywords = {rethinking, science education, scientific knowledge}, issn = {2345-0193}, url = {http://www.journals.indexcopernicus.com/abstract.php?icid=1083594}, author = {Ana Cristina Santos Duarte and H{\'e}ctor Santiago Odetti} } @article {42, title = {RESEARCH PROJECTS IN SCIENCE EDUCATION DEVELOPED IN ARGENTINA: A BRAZILIAN POINT OF VIEW}, journal = {Baltic Journal of Career Education and Management}, volume = {2}, year = {2014}, month = {December/2014}, pages = {Continuous}, type = {Original article}, chapter = {37-45}, abstract = {The constant and rapid changes that mark the contemporary world require adequate, and compatible with our own critiques against positivism, social practices from the universities. In this sense, the university has sought to establish partnerships and collective actions with the community and develop more direct research and intervention projects, especially with schools, to contribute to the improvement of the teaching-learning process. Thus, this research aims to evaluate educational research projects developed in Argentina, identifying which impacts they have on teachers{\textquoteright} training and practice as well as the difficulties to implement the proposal.}, keywords = {assessment, educational intervention, projects, teacher training}, issn = {2345-0193}, url = {http://jml2012.indexcopernicus.com/abstract.php?icid=1141410}, author = {Ana Cristina Santos Duarte and H{\'e}ctor Santiago Odetti} }
